HI EVERYONE. HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO REDUCE THE WASTAGE OF PLASTIC BAGS. IT MAY NEEDS A BRIEF TIME TO CREATE A PLASTIC BAG. BUT TO BIODEGRADE IT, IT TAKES THOUSANDS OF YEARS....
AREN'T THEM FRIGHTENING?
- Use them as bin liners.
- Place them in the bottom of plant pots and hanging baskets - they act as great
drainage systems.
- Children can use them for carrying PE gear to school.
- Scrunch them up to surround items when you're packaging as an alternative to
bubble wrap.
- Use them in the garden to hold your grass cuttings and hedge trimmings before
transfer to a compost bin.
- Use them when packing for a holiday to keep dirty/wet clothes and shoes away
from dry clothing.
- Use them as 'doggy doo bags' when out walking your dog!
- Some supermarkets recycle plastic bags, so you can return plastic bags to
them.
- Re-use washed zip lock bags for sandwiches and snacks rather than using
plastic wrap.
SAVE OUR EARTH.

Here are some frequent askin' questions whether an electric device sucks electricity even when they are turned off.
Which electronic devices waste the most energy when they are turned off but still plugged in?
Set-top cable boxes and digital video recorders are some of the biggest energy hogs. Unfortunately, there's little consumers can do since television shows can't be taped if boxes are unplugged. It also typically takes a long time to reboot boxes. However, some of the other major consumers of standby power are more easily dealt with: computers, multifunction printers, flat-screen TVs, DVDs, VCRs, CD players, power tools, and hand-held vacuums. The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) measured standby power for a long list of products. While it's true each individual product draws relatively little standby power, the LBNL says that when added together, standby power can amount to 10% of residential energy use.
Why do electronic devices use energy when they are switched off?
Electronics consume standby power for one of two reasons, says Chris Kielich of the Department of Energy. They either have an adapter that will continue to draw electricity, or they have devices (such as clocks and touchpads) that draw power. Anything with a remote control will also draw standby power, she says, since the device needs to be able to detect the remote when it's pushed.
Does everything suck energy when it's plugged in and turned off?
No. If your coffeemaker or toaster doesn't have a clock, then it's probably not using standby power, says Kielich. Chances are your hair dryer and lamps (although they may have a power adapter for the dimmer) are not drawing standby power either, she says. Devices with a switch that physically breaks the circuit don't consume standby power.
Will switching things on and off shorten their life?
Probably not, says Kielich. You'd have to turn devices on and off thousands of times to shorten their lives. The real downside, she says, to unplugging electronics is that clocks and remotes will not work, and you do have to reset everything.
Can you ruin batteries by unplugging battery chargers and causing batteries to completely discharge?
It could be a possibility, says Kielich. Her advice: Don't let batteries get completely drained. But you don't need to have things like hand-held power vacuums and drills plugged into the charger when it's 100% charged, or even 50% charged.
Power Strip FAQs
Plugging electronics into a power strip and turning it off when you're not using it is a widely prescribed solution for curbing vampire power. Here are answers to common questions:
Power strips draw energy when they are turned on, but not when they are switched off.
Any decent power strip should have surge protection, according to Kielich. Flicking your power strip on and off will not create a power surge capable of damaging electronic devices. In fact, it will protect devices from other surges.
Several readers were worried about the possibility of fires caused by plugging too many things in at once. If you plug in the allowed number of devices, then power strips are safe, says Kielich. Just don't plug your power strip into another power strip, or you run the risk of creating an overload.

After closing the lamps and TV in my house, I took a ride around SP to look how the EARTH HOUR celebrated by others. I was amazed and surprised to see most of the houses and shops in Sungai Petani support this motion to raise the awareness of the urgency for the citizens of the world stand up and rolling up our sleeves to battle the global warming. This is an issue that we should all take full attention. The responsibility to fight this problems throughly had never and will never fall on one's shoulder. It is our responsibility to safeguard our planet which have been a home that not just us, Homo Sapiens reside, million other species of flora and fauna since the day Adam and Eve walk their first step onto this soil. We had learned about this crisis not just in science and EST, we hear about it almost everyday and we feel its toil everytime we wake up. The world are getting warmer and warmer. Let do our part in combating this crisis for the sake of our children. Now is the time, now is the moment where WE should not just lying down and saying " I do not care bout that. ", but we should stand up proudly, shouting " THIS IS OUR HOME!!! " and start gathering the might to battle, to combat, and to fight this alarming crisis before it is too late. We do not have much time left. Please help and support this motion.
(I will be postin' tips and things that we should and should not do in line to protect our Earth)
ONE EARTH, ONE MISSION. SAVE OUR EARTH.

I'm Back....
Hi everyone...
I had just reach SP this morning from PLKN. Mixed feelings to leave the camp. Happy to be back in my hometown, sad to leave the teachers and friends who treat me so well there, and guilt and shame as I had done something bad there. I learnt some important things there and will be writing some and postin' it onto our blog from time to time. Congratz to Juneu and Yi Qi who just passed their driving test. Lolz. Millions of thanks for those who kept updating me from time to time about everything happen back in SP, EPL and the politics in Malaysia. I once described my 3 month stint there is just little bit better than the ISA detention as our connection with the outsiders were very limited. I use my free time there to improve my litreature in Bahasa Melayu(I try to wrote and dictate some sajak there) and reading some F6 Biology thingz. I also want to express my deepest gratitude for my comrades who been fighting all day long to keep this blog stay alive. Really appreciate it. Jason, Hean Ping, Wai Cheuck and Rui Lynn, thanks a lot.
Will be writin' again soon. Hope we can meet again tomorrow. Bye..
